BIIDS: Behavioural Induced Immune Deficiency Syndrome

June 20th, 2009

Johnson Tagarisa grew up during the 1970s when his cousins, brothers and uncles worked in the mines of South Africa.  Upon return to their native Zimbabwe, they spoke often of their experiences.  By the time that people were starting to “die from AIDS in South Africa,” Johnson was old enough and educated enough to connect the dots.  Even when his stepbrother died in 1993, Johnson argued with the doctor that he had died of syphilis because he had (more…)

The word is chutzpa – and it’s hard to imagine a better way to describe UC Berkeley (UCB) Vice Provost Sheldon Zedeck’s assignment of Arthur Reingold to investigate misconduct allegations against Professor Peter Duesberg, PhD.  The charges stem from Duesberg’s (et al) report that was published in 2009 by  Medical Hypotheses.  Citing 35 references that includes South Africa’s (SA) own mortality reports, Prof. Duesberg’s team concluded that: (more…)

  • Bought – The Movie

28 Jun (Bought – The Movie) – There is something horribly wrong with health care today.  While we were filming Doctored, we kept running into the signs of it. Huge money, billions and billions of dollars flowing into the same pockets.  Meanwhile, MD’s aren’t being allowed to actually practice the art of medicine, Chiropractors are marginalized and sidelined and anyone who questions vaccination safety, pharmaceuticals, factory farms, etc. is ridiculed and belittled. • A Lesson in Basic Geometry

28 Jun (PRINCIPIA SCIENTIFIC) - This is the best rendering of a ball that I can do on a computer. It has a single source of light and I’ve made it slightly gibbous (more than half-lit to the eye) in order to emphasize its 3-dimensionality. What’s observable about this ball is elementary but vital. (more…)

  • A Lesson in Average Temperature Calculations

28 Jun (PRINCIPIA SCIENTIFIC) Say your house has two floors.  Downstairs the temperature is at 72°, upstairs at 76°. You might conclude, then, that the house’s average interior temperature is 74. But wait. Now you recall that the upstairs is 15% smaller. So should the average temperature be estimated thus? (more…)

  • Radiative Equilibrium or Radiative Poppycock?

28 Jun (PRINCIPIA SCIENTIFIC) - What animates global warming concerns is an imaginary law of physics called “radiative equilibrium”. Energy out must equal energy in, this “law” says. Which does sound plausible on the face of it. In this view, however, if the light emitted by a heated object is suppressed in some way, its radiant energy will increa (more…)

26 Jun (NEWSBUSTERS) - President Barack Obama’s new climate change initiative will purportedly share “a national plan to reduce carbon pollution, prepare our country for the impacts of climate change and lead global efforts to fight it.” Although he intends to demand action, most Americans do not see climate change as a “major threat,” according to Pew Research.
