In 1994, LGBT activist Hank Wilson (1947-2008) collaborated with HIV researchers in this report, which examined the possible connections between HIV, AIDS and the heavy use of amyl nitrate inhalents (i.e. poppers) among promiscuous gay men and co-wrote this book with John Lauritsen on the subject. The report, book, and this candid interview offers a rare and revealing glimpse of a secretive lifestyle that most people cannot imagine.
