  • (CLIMATE CHANGE DISPATCH) – Solar energy can solve global warming. That’s what Paul Krugman claims in his April 18 column in the New York Times, “Salvation Gets Cheap.” (more…)

  • (CLIMATE CHANGE DISPATCH)  –  The United Nations (UN) has delivered its latest verdict on the measures necessary to save the world from global warming and the news is as grim as it is predictable and wearisomely familiar: (more…)

  • 20 Sep (JoNova) – A free market is the voluntary exchange of goods and services. “Free” means being free to choose to buy or to not buy the product. At the end of a free trade, both parties have something they prefer. (more…)

  • 1 Aug (TOP DOCUMENTARY FILMS) – The Great Global Warming Swindle caused controversy in the UK when it premiered on Channel 4 in 2010.  According to Martin Durkin’s documentary, the chief cause of climate change is not human activity but changes in radiation from the sun. (more…)

  • 8 Sep (THE AUSTRALIAN) – Once upon a time, being peer-reviewed simply meant you had written something, usually a journal article, and some other people in your profession had read it and considered it fit for publication.   Not any more.  (more…)

  • 12 Jul (JGU) – An international team including scientists from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) has published a reconstruction of the climate in northern Europe over the last 2,000 years based on the information provided by tree-rings.  Professor Dr. Jan Esper’s group (more…)

  • 23 Apr (MSNBC) – James Lovelock, the maverick scientist who became a guru to the environmental movement with his “Gaia” theory of the Earth as a single organism, has admitted to being “alarmist” about climate change and says other environmental commentators, (more…)

  • DER SPIEGEL 6 FEB – Will reduced solar activity counteract global warming in the coming decades?  That is what outgoing German electric utility executive Fritz Vahrenholt claims in a new book. In an interview with SPIEGEL, he argues that the official United Nations forecasts on the severity of climate change are overstated and supported by weak science.  (more…)

  • Discredited global warming scientist, Michael Mann, sees his last-ditch efforts to hide data fall apart as legal experts reveal a mountain of legal precedents against him.  In his recent papers (filed on September 2, 2011) Mann claims ‘academic freedom’ and ‘proprietary materials’ as his defense.  But legal experts who have since reviewed Mann’s submission to the Circuit Court of Prince William County, Va., say they are so full of holes they are doomed to fail. (more…)

Pamela Meyer, author of Liespotting, shows the manners and “hotspots” used by those trained to recognize deception — and she argues honesty is a value worth preserving. (more…)

  • Consider the Oldbury wind turbine, which WattsUpWithThat.com  reveals was installed a couple of years ago at a primary school in the Midlands at a cost of £5000 sterling plus Vicious Additional Taxation at 17.5% (US $9694 in all). (more…)

  • 11 Dec – CANCUN – Yesterday, my colleague David Rothbard reported on the tour CFACT conducted of a Mexican village minutes from the conference where people live without electricity.  While we heard tales of how hard it is to cook when you can’t afford fuel, Marc Morano, founder of CFACT’s award winning Climate Depot web site released a major new report which (more…)

  • The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for years has been predicting the greenhouse effect can spin out of control.  They claim that there exists a scientific consensus that CO2 is pushing the planet into an unrestrained greenhouse effect, that it’s raising global temperatures and it must be stopped.  IPCC was (more…)

  • 4 Aug  – Months ago, Lord Christopher Monckton put forth his Instrument of Repudiation, CFACT gained thousands of signatures on our own petition against Cap and Trade, and ClimateGate launched a wake up call to America.   Now this.   Recently, Marc Morano, senior editor of CFACT’s Climate Depot, sat down with Dr. Denis Rancourt to discuss his (more…)

  • Scientists have been forced to withdraw a study on projected sea level rise due to global warming after finding mistakes that undermined the findings.  The study, published in 2009 in Nature Geoscience, one of the top journals in its field, confirmed the conclusions of (more…)

  • The academic at the centre of the ‘Climategate’ affair, whose raw data is crucial to the theory of climate change, has admitted that he has trouble ‘keeping track’ of the information.  Colleagues say that the reason Professor Jones has refused Freedom of Information requests is that he (more…)

  • In 2007, the most comprehensive report to date on global warming, issued by the respected United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, made a shocking claim: The Himalayan glaciers could melt away as soon as 2035. (more…)

  • On January 22, 2010 you published a statement: “2009: Second warmest year on record” .  As we all know, the global average surface temperature is a sum of two quantities. One is the so-called effective temperature, determined by the (more…)

  • I can’t recall the wheels coming off the bus of any expert-driven hysteria as fast or as completely as they are now coming off the global-warming scare.  I suppose they must have came off faster from Y2K. At 12:00:01 AM on Jan. 1, 2000, when airliners didn’t fall from the sky and power plants didn’t shut down spontaneously or computers didn’t freeze up all over the world, the air (more…)

  • Scientist at the heart of the ‘Climategate’ email scandal broke the law when they refused to give raw data to the public, the privacy watchdog has ruled.  The Information Commissioner’s office said University of East Anglia researchers breached the Freedom of Information Act when handling requests from climate change sceptics.  But the scientists will escape prosecution because the offences took place more than six months ago. (more…)

  • A WARNING that climate change will melt most of the Himalayan glaciers by 2035 is likely to be retracted after a series of scientific blunders by the United Nations body that issued it.   Two years ago the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a benchmark report that was claimed to incorporate the latest and most detailed research into the impact of global warming.  A central claim was (more…)

  • In a one-two series of Climategate aftershocks that assuredly will further rattle the global warming community, a report has been issued by U.S. researchers accusing government agencies of cherry-picking temperature readings used to assess global temperatures, and a series of embarrassing e-mails were released revealing what happened when a blogger dared to point out a mistake by NASA climate scientists.
