Military Court Raises Questions About HIV Tests

8 Jun (WASH DC) - In an unusual and possibly unprecedented trial verdict, rendered after expert witnesses raised “reasonable doubt” about the general validity of what are commonly called “HIV tests,” a military judge at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina on May 17 acquitted an Army sergeant of aggravated assault for failing to disclose his HIV “status” to sexual partners. The charges could have resulted in 37 years imprisonment for Sgt. Tarence C. Dixon. (more…)

UK Doctor Gives Wrong Vaccines to Children For Over Three Years

    11 Nov (AARP) - We have a job to do.  Hungarian doctor Ignaz Semmelweis suggested 165 years ago that simply by washing their hands, physicians would reduce the high death rate among women during childbirth.  He couldn’t prove it, though, and since he predated Louis Pasteur, antiseptics and antibiotics, Semmelweis’ advice was ignored. He was hounded out of his profession and died in disgrace.  Much has changed. Still, health professionals have not learned to wash their hands. (more…)
