The word is chutzpa – and it’s hard to imagine a better way to describe UC Berkeley (UCB) Vice Provost Sheldon Zedeck’s assignment of Arthur Reingold to investigate misconduct allegations against Professor Peter Duesberg, PhD. The charges stem from Duesberg’s (et al) report that was published in 2009 by Medical Hypotheses. Johnson Tagarisa grew up during the 1970s when his cousins, brothers and uncles worked in the mines of South Africa. Upon return to their native Zimbabwe, they spoke often of their experiences. By the time that people were starting to “die from AIDS in South Africa,” Johnson was old enough and educated enough to connect the dots. 10 Oct|ATLANTA – A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention official was arrested Sunday and charged with two counts of child molestation and bestiality for sexual acts involving a 6-year-old boy. According to a DeKalb County criminal warrant obtained Sunday, Kimberly Quinlan Lindsey’s boyfriend, Thomas Westerman, was also arrested on two counts of child molestation. (more…)

The recent dismissal of criminal charges against Marine Corps Cpl. RL marks the 30th win and second year of OMSJ’s undefeated record in the defense of falsely-accused HIV defendants. Discredited global warming scientist, Michael Mann, sees his last-ditch efforts to hide data fall apart as legal experts reveal a mountain of legal precedents against him. In his recent papers (filed on September 2, 2011) Mann claims ‘academic freedom’ and ‘proprietary materials’ as his defense. But legal experts who have since reviewed Mann’s submission to the Circuit Court of Prince William County, Va., say they are so full of holes they are doomed to fail. (more…)

They died in their sleep one by one, thousands of miles from home. Their median age was 33. All but one — 116 of the 117 — were healthy men. Immigrants from southeast Asia, you could count the time most had spent on American soil in just months. At the peak of the deaths in the early 1980s, the death rate from this mysterious problem among the Hmong ethnic group was equivalent to the top five natural causes of death for other American men in their age group.
