In April 2010, Astra Zeneca paid a $520 million fine for criminal acts that generate $4 billion annually.
Between 2004-2010, drug companies paid nearly $8 billion in civil and criminal fines. If companies like Eli Lilly, Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline were real persons they would be serving life in prison. But because they own politicians, the media and regulators (FDA, CDC & NIH), drug makers are fined a fraction of their profits and raise prices to cover the costs of the fines.
To avoid liability, researchers invented Immune Reconstitution syndrome (IRS) to blame millions of adverse drug reactions (ADR) on AIDS-defined diseases.
