More Rats Defect from Global Warming Hoax

June 17, 2010

When has the enemy lost for sure? Probably when its generals retreat. The latest in a continual retreat from the dogma of global warming hysteria comes from atop the hallowed IPCC. We’ll let our friend Marc Morano at ClimateDepot.com delivers the delicious news:

In a stunning reversal, beleaguered UN IPCC Chairman Rajendra Pachauri is now claiming he has nothing but respect and acceptance for skeptics of man-made global warming claims.

Pachauri, in a June 15, 2010 BBC commentary, declared ‘I am not deaf to those who do not agree with the scientific consensus on man-made climate change.’ Pachauri also added: ‘The IPCC and the scientific community at large should welcome the development of a vigorous debate on the science of climate change’.

This sounds so reasonable a casual observer may wonder why we make a big deal of it.   Here’s why:
Pachauri previously declared global warming skeptics “flat-earthers”

He also smeared veteran Indian glaciologist and prominent global warming skeptic VK Raina for “voo doo” science.

And it was only last February that Pachauri said skeptics are the type of people who deny links between cigarettes and cancer.

Gee, what could have prompted this 180-degree turnaround? Perhaps the writing on the wall? Perhaps he would like to be on the winning side. Who next? Al Gore?

Wait until Pachauri gets a load of this: “The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change misled the press and public into believing that thousands of scientists backed its claims on manmade global warming, according to Mike Hulme, a prominent climate scientist and IPCC insider. The actual number of scientists who backed that claim was “only a few dozen experts,” he states in a paper for Progress in Physical Geography, co-authored with student Martin Mahony,” as reported in the National Post.
